Can I get any funding or discount for my travel expenses?
TU/e offers no funding or discount on your travel expenses. Please contact your local university to inform you about any reimbursement of travel costs.

Do I need a visa for visiting The Netherlands?
Please check on the official site of your government if your country requires a visa upon entry to the Netherlands.

How do I register for the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School?
Apply within your university for the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School by contacting your professors of Applied Physics or Electrical Engineering.

How will the selection of students be made?
Each university involved will have their own criteria on which they select the students to participate at the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School.

Is the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School an official TU/e program?
The Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School is an official program of TU/e but not a Bachelor nor Master program.

Is there a maximum number of participants?
The maximum number of participants is 60 students. If there are more applications, a selection will be made by the professors of the visiting universities.

What are the costs for attending the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School?
Registration for summer school is free of charge this year. However, participants are required to arrange their own travel and accommodation.

What do I need to bring to the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School?
Only your laptop is required to attend the summer school, as you will be working in teams with other students on student challenges.

What is the best way to travel to Eindhoven?
The best way to travel to Eindhoven is to book a flight to Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) and travel from Amsterdam to Eindhoven by train. More information about public transport to Eindhoven is available on our website.

The Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School starts on Monday, 26 August 2024 and will end on Friday, 30 August 2024.

Who is the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School for?
The Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School is open to foreign students studying in all fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) who want to learn about the latest technologies in the field of semiconductors in Europe.

Will I receive a diploma or certificate upon completion of the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School?
Upon completion of the Eindhoven Semiconductor Summer School, each participant will receive an official certificate of participation.
