MomenTUm 2024: celebration of graduates and teachers
The annual academic celebration of our graduates and best teachers will happen on September 26-27, 2024.
It's almost that time of the year again. On September 26 and 27, we will celebrate MomenTUm our biggest academic party of the year. This year, almost 1600 bachelor students will receive their degrees taht Friday. We will also annouce the winners of the Academic Awards winners and reveal who this year's best bachelor and master teachers are. Reasons enough to take pride in our university together: don't miss it!
Thursday: Students party
MomenTUm traditionally begins on Thursday, September 26, with a big party for our students. Attendees can enjoy cool acts, great food at the food trucks, cool merch, and of course the bar. Tickets for the party of the year are still available online.
Friday: Ceremony and show
On Friday, September 27, it is time for the official portion of the celebrations. There will be two sessions, one at 12:00 and one at 16:00 hrs. They both contain festive graduation ceremonies, followed by the famous Walk of Fame.
New this year is that the graduates no longer wear (single use) gowns. They'll still wear sashes and caps. The ceremony usually ends with all caps flying through the air all at once.
Alumna Liselotte Graas also presents this year's MomenTUm show in MetaForum. In addition, Sako Arts will be a guest in both sessions to inspire our brand-new bachelors. The TU/e alumnus is now chief technical officer (CTO) and co-founder of the successful company FruitPunch AI.
Best teachers 2024
Only with great teachers can we educate great engineers at TU/e. That is why we annually put our best teachers in the spotlight with the Best Teacher Awards.
Students nominate the teachers, and a professional jury chooses the final winner. All nominees receive a certificate and get to present themselves as nominee. The Best Bachelor Teacher 2024 will be announced in the morning, and the Best Master Teacher 2024 will be revealed in the afternoon session.

Academic Awards
The Academic Awards will be presented for the best bachelor’s and master’s thesis between the two ceremonies. Check out the program and nominees on our website. The nominees can still be voted on!
